The 10th annual SNHU LEADS Conference will take place March 26 through March 27, and we’re looking for both virtual and in-person presenters from the SNHU community!
This hybrid conference gives students, alumni, and staff the opportunity to enhance academic potential, gain new leadership skills, and advance their careers. Faculty—like you—are ideal presenters. You’ll have the opportunity to share your knowledge and connect with participants in a meaningful way.
This year’s theme, Find Your Voice, invites attendees to build their confidence and speak up in a crowded, digital world. Consider presenting on topics like public speaking/presenting, networking, or job interview preparation. Alternatively, step out of the box with something like a guided meditation focused on finding your inner voice, or a round table story-telling session. This is the occasion to highlight your expertise in an area you feel passionate about.
The Penmen Pursuit awards are open to current online and campus undergraduate and graduate students. This month marks ten years of recognizing students who have made their unique SNHU story a success. This could be:
A student who has overcome significant obstacles to attend SNHU
A student whose path at SNHU has been unique or inspiring
A student who has found a unique way to connect in-class and out-of-class experiences to create integrated learning opportunities
A student conducting inspiring research, or a student engaged in community service efforts
An extraordinary SNHU student leader who may not be recognized in other areas/ceremonies
Data Privacy Week is approaching and SNHU invites you to get involved.
So, what is Data Privacy Week? Data Privacy Week originated in Europe as Data Protection Day in 2006. Two years later, in 2008, Data Protection Day was adopted in the US and Canada as Data Privacy Day, which was later expanded to a weeklong observation in 2022.
Personal data is valuable and is collected daily by devices like smartphones, computers, and perhaps even cars. A recent Deloitte survey found that over 81% percent of Americans feel they have lost control over how their personal data is collected. Thus, Data Privacy Week at SNHU aims to spread data privacy awareness and help empower University community members in an ever-increasing digital world with the knowledge they need to take control over their digital footprint.
To help you learn more about your own data privacy, the Data Privacy Office has arranged some events:
Pop Culture Privacy Trivia, Tuesday, January 23, 1:00 p.m.
Your Privacy in an AI World, Wednesday, January 24, 3:00 p.m.
Privacy and Social Media, Thursday, January 25, 3:00 p.m.
You can find details and sign up for the events on the Data Privacy Week site. To learn more about how SNHU collects, uses, and safeguards information, the Data Privacy Office suggests reviewing the SNHU Privacy Policy.
Have you checked your address information in Workday recently? It’s important for the university to have accurate information about where our employees live and work, as an employee’s location can impact the university’s obligations related to payroll tax withholding, and reporting for unemployment insurance and workers compensation insurance, among other things. Employees are responsible for ensuring their address information in Workday is always kept up-to-date.
If you have plans to relocate, please contact your Dean in advance of your planned move date to discuss your situation. Please note that additional approvals may be required for work relocations to some states.
Important Payroll Information for 24EW3 The first and last weeks of term 24EW3 begin in the middle of a pay period. As such, the checks for those pay dates will contain one week of pay. The full eight weeks of the term will be paid out over five pay dates.

Academic Advisor Spotlight
Join us on February 8, at noon ET, for an Academic Advisor Spotlight webinar hosted by the Center for Online Learning and Teaching (COLT)! The goal of this webinar is to help faculty gain a better understanding of the Academic Advisor role, and how Academic Advisors and faculty can continue to work together to support SNHU students.
This is a great opportunity to earn professional development* and add some new strategies to your student support toolkit! There will be a live Q&A session and faculty are invited to submit questions on the registration form.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: To earn CEUs you must attend the live session. Watching the recording does not qualify for CEU credit. For more information on CEUs, please review the CEU FAQ.
